TDO User meeting 2024

My wife and I had the pleasure of attending the 2024 TDO User Meeting, and it was an outstanding experience. This annual gathering brings together endodontic professionals to share ideas, explore new technologies, and build community. What stood out most was the strong sense of camaraderie among peers, combined with opportunities to learn from experts in the field.

**A Sense of Community and Shared Passion**
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a conference—it was a meeting of like-minded professionals dedicated to the same goal: advancing patient care and clinical practice. We were able to engage in insightful discussions, swap best practices, and connect with people who truly understand the nuances and challenges of endodontics. It was a refreshing reminder of the value of being part of a broader professional network that shares our commitment to high standards and continual improvement.

 **Learning from Thought Leaders**
The range of speakers this year was exceptional. Eve Meceda’s session on the power of habits was particularly memorable. She spoke about how small, incremental changes in routine can have a substantial impact on productivity and clinical outcomes. It got us reflecting on our own daily routines and how implementing even minor adjustments could enhance the way we run our practice.

Ryan Tigrett’s talks were another highlight. He delved into strategies for aligning practice management with clinical objectives, a topic that resonated deeply with us. Running a practice involves a delicate balance between focusing on patients and maintaining business efficiency, and his practical advice was full of actionable insights. We left his session inspired to rethink how we approach strategic planning in our practice.

Alison Grizzle rounded off the speaker line-up with her focus on effective practice management. Her approach was refreshingly straightforward, and she pinpointed common pitfalls that can hinder a practice’s growth. Her advice has definitely given us food for thought on refining our own operations.

 **Exploring the Latest in Technology**
Aside from the talks, we were particularly interested in the technology demonstrations. There were live presentations showcasing the latest innovations in endodontics, including new software and tools that promise to make procedures less invasive and more precise. These advancements are exciting because they have the potential to directly benefit patients, making treatments quicker and more comfortable. It reinforced the importance of staying abreast of new technologies to ensure we continue to deliver top-tier care.

 **Looking Forward to Next Year**
By the time the event wrapped up, we felt energised and inspired. It’s not often that you leave a conference feeling both educated and reconnected to the core values of your profession. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, scheduled for 6-8 November 2025, which we’re sure will build on this year’s success and offer even more opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Attending the 2024 TDO User Meeting wasn’t just about gaining new knowledge—it was about reconnecting with our passion for excellence in patient care and being part of a thriving, forward-thinking professional community. We can’t wait to see what next year’s meeting has in store!
